Woman Crush Wednesday: There’s Simply No One Cooler Than ‘Happy Endings’ And ‘Future Man’ Star Eliza Coupe

It’s a good Wednesday. You see, Hulu just gave us yet another reason to celebrate one of our very favorite actresses. Buckle up because we’re giving a big shoutout to this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday, Eliza Coupe.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Eliza Coupe

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: With this week’s release of Future Man on Hulu, we’re just so damn excited to see Eliza starring in yet another super cool project. As Tiger (that name!) she plays a no-nonsense badass woman tasked with saving the world. Sounds like a good plan to us!

Eliza was a total breakout during her stint on Happy Endings, making Jane the uptight friend you wish you had. Because let’s face it, you don’t have any friends who are quite as funny, or possess the ability to communicate all of their thoughts with one hilarious facial expression, a feat the actress surely accomplished during her time on the ABC comedy.

Future Man brings a whole new opportunity for Eliza to show off those physical acting chops (oh, don’t worry — the comedy’s still there too). She’s played the raunchy gal pal on The Mindy Project, and the one that got away (after just a bit of drama and dysfunction) on Casual, in a role that presented one of her best on-screen performances to date. Now we’ll get to see her get her sci-fi action star on, and we’re totally here for it.

Another thing we totally want to see? Eliza on many more red carpets to come. We just have to acknowledge that homegirl has a killer sense of style. She’s always got on something cool and funky that only she can pull off, but we’ll happily just gawk politely.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Eliza probably first caught your eye during the last two seasons of Scrubs and then she popped up in the rom-com What’s Your Number? in 2011. Of course we all know and love her as Jane on Happy Endings where she portrayed the delightfully neurotic pal on the ABC comedy for three seasons.

From there, she’s showed up in House of Lies, Superstore, The Mindy Project, Quantico, Wrecked, and she starred in the USA series Benched which lasted for a season.

Since then, she was super great on Hulu’s Casual (do not miss it!) and can also be seen in the Netflix movie Naked with Marlon Wayans.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Future Man is available now on Hulu, where you can watch Eliza as a butt-kicking gal from the future who teams up with Josh Hutcherson to save the world. You know, as she does.

In other very exciting news, you can see her in the upcoming films The Disaster Artist, hitting theaters in December, as well as in the 2018 flicks Making Babies, a comedy with Shameless star Steve Howey, and Civil, a drama with Bradley Whitford. In other words, the future is looking good for this woman.
