Where to Stream:

Future Man

Powered by Reelgood

This weekend, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO, Showtime, STARZ, Sundance Now, Acorn TV, BritBox, Shudder, Tribeca Shortlist, and more are adding a ton of new movies and shows you’re bound to love. From brand new original content to old favorites, there is no shortage of content to tide you over all the way through Thanksgiving.

Mudbound, Netflix’s latest original film directed by Dee Rees, is shaping up to be one of the year’s best films, and you can now watch it from the comfort of your own home. Seeking some lighter fare? Hulu’s latest original series, Future Man, is totally uproarious, and they’ve also got the first season of Seeso series There’s… Johnny!. HBO, meanwhile, has Matt Damon action flick The Great Wall and Night of Too Many Stars, an awesome autism benefit hosted by Jon Stewart. There’s really no reason to leave the house at all this weekend – here’s what’s new on your favorite platforms.

Mudbound *Netflix Original

Starring Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Mitchell, and a slew of other wildly talented stars, this riveting Dee Rees drama follows two men as they return home to Mississippi from World War II and find themselves struggling with post-war life and the racism that surrounds them. It’s a stunning, timely film – one that (if Netflix plays their cards right) could earn the platform some Oscar nominations.

Marvel’s The Punisher: Season 1 *Netflix Original

The latest series in the Marvel/Netflix universe follows Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), a man who turns to using lethal violence as a vigilante called “The Punisher” after his family is murdered. This season sees Castle discover a New York conspiracy while on the hunt for the people who murdered his family – and it’s much bigger than he ever could have imagined.

Landline *Amazon Original

Directed by Obvious Child‘s Gillian Robespierre, this 90s-set comedy follows Ali (Abby Quinn), a teenager who discovers that her father is having an affair and sees the rest of the women in the family (including her engaged older sister Dana) discover new sides of themselves in the aftermath of the revelation. Funny, heart-wrenching, and totally sincere, Landline might hit just a little too close to home.
