Michael Rapaport Calls John Oliver A “Selfish F—” For Not Calling Dustin Hoffman “Mr. Hoffman”

The fallout from Monday’s heated altercation between Last Week Tonight host John Oliver and two-time Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman just took an unexpected turn.

The initial argument took place on Monday during the panel portion of a screening for the 20th anniversary of Wag the Dog. Oliver asked Hoffman about the sexual harassment allegation made against the actor, which kicked off a lengthy, heated debate about the incident, with the audience even getting involved.

But allegations of sexual harassment are not what got podcaster and White Famous actor Michael Rapaport all riled up. No, he’s livid–seriously livid–that John Oliver did not call Dustin Hoffman “Mr. Hoffman” while questioning the actor about the culture of sexual harassment that permeates Hollywood.

It doesn’t end there, either, as Rapaport is living in the comments section of this thread, taking on all comers pointing out that 1. Calling Dustin Hoffman “Dustin” is calling him by his name, and 2. Freaking out about him not being referred to as “Mr. Hoffman” kinda ignores the sexual harassment elephant in the room.

And when it comes to the discussion about the allegation against Hoffman, Rapaport made it known that he believes Hoffman did nothing wrong on Monday night when he was questioned by Oliver.

Rapaport isn’t too concerned about the blowback he’s getting online right now, either, just so long as you remember to address him with respect.
