Disney Criticized For The Creepy Trump Robot They Placed In ‘The Hall Of Presidents’

This week Donald Trump received the most disappointing honor every modern president has to endure — a place in Disney’s Hall of Presidents. An animatronic robot of Trump will now be the star of Disney‘s most disappointing attraction.

The Hall of Presidents hasn’t changed too much since it was opened in 1971. Originally, the ride acted as a sort of walk through American history, but President Gerald R. Ford was the first sitting president to be added to the attraction. Since then, it’s become customary for Disney to add a new figure every time a new president is elected. The robot of the incumbent president is supposed to deliver a speech after Lincoln and Washington.

Originally, the Magic Kingdom attraction was closed in January to add in the Trump bot, but that addition was delayed for several months. It’s unclear exactly why, but there have been rumors that Trump and his administration were not cooperating with Disney about his speech. Disney has since denied these rumors, but the fact still stands we’ve gone a very long time without a robotic version of our current president.

Here’s the non-controversial speech Disney has managed to pull from Trump:

From the beginning, America has been a nation defined by its people. At our founding, it was the American people who rose up to defend our freedoms and win our independence. It was why our founders began our great constitution with three very simple words: we the people. Since that moment, each generation of Americans has taken its place in the defense of our freedom, our flag, and our nation under God.

These are the achievements of the American spirit—the spirit of a people who fought and died to bring the blessings of liberty to all our people. Above all, to be an American is to be an optimist, to believe that we can always do better and that the best days of our great nation are still ahead of us. It’s a privilege to serve as the president of the United States, to stand here among so many great leaders of our past, and to work on behalf of the American people.

However, the animatronic version of Trump has been gaining attention not for his speech but for his appearance. A lot of people think that Imagineer Trump looks kind of like Jon Voight, Midnight Cowboy legend and one of the current stars of Ray Donovan:

No matter if the figure is Trump, Voight, or Walt Disney himself, these things still look like an alien’s depiction of what hu-mans are.
