Cardi B Complains to Andy Cohen on 'WWHL' That Strippers These Days Are "Lazy"
Last night, rapper Cardi B visited Jimmy Fallon at The Tonight Show to promote her upcoming single “Bartier Cardi,” featuring 21 Savage. The outspoken star didn’t hold anything back as she discussed her rapid rise to fame and how her life has changed since her single “Bodak Yellow” topped the charts back in September.
“I follow you on Twitter, and you said that you’re not getting any adults gifts this year for Christmas,” said Fallon. “No, because you wanna know something?” asked Cardi B. “Everybody that I know got kids, and that’s just a lot of kids. And I got new god kids out of nowhere—you know, once you start making money, everyone wants you to be their kids’ godmother,” she continued, earning huge laughs from Fallon and his audience.
Even better than Cardi B’s hilarious stories were her vocal skills: the rapper chirped repeatedly throughout the interview, adding a flourish to her sentences unlike anything we’ve heard before. Cardi B’s chirping surprised Fallon, who seemed to forget his question every time she made the crazy noise. Eventually, however, Fallon hopped on the bandwagon, making his own chirping noise, much to the pleasure of his guest.
“You’re the first female artist with your first three singles in the Top 10 at the same time,” said Fallon. “I mean, I heard that, and I was like, ‘Brrrr!'”
