Rejoice, y’all! There’s only one more day before the holiday weekend officially begins (and many of you are probably already celebrating), so why not ring in the season with the best the streaming world has to offer? In addition to Decider’s What to Watch recommendations for Thursday, we’ve got what’s new on streaming tonight.
Today, Netflix is premiering a brand new season of Peaky Blinders, its British crime drama about a notorious gang family in 1920s Birmingham, England. The entire cast, led by Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson, return for a fourth season of this critically acclaimed show, so be sure not to miss out on another excellent season of drama, murder, and backstabbing.
If you’re not interested in exploring England’s seedy underbelly, head over to HBO to check out 15: A Quinceañera Story, HBO’s newest docu-series that tackles the most important issues of our day, from trans rights to immigration policy. Tonight, HBO is airing Ashley, the second installment in the four-episode series (the platform will premiere a new episode each night), which tells the story of a young girl whose life is turned upside down when she learns that her role model, her boxing coach, may be deported. According to our own Kayla Cobb, Ashley’s segment “puts a face and a story to America’s current immigration debate in a way very few arguments or documentaries do.” Needless to say, 15: A Quinceañera Story is a must-see if you’re interested in the personal effects of American policy.
