The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without a great, family-focused movie, and it’s hard to find a recent one that’s better than The Big Sick. Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon‘s autobiographical rom-com has everything — heart, humor, Holly Hunter freaking out, Ray Romano pretending he’s not funny. However, Nanjiani’s suggestion for how people should watch his critically-adored film completely jumped over the film’s soft R rating and landed into XXX territory.
Everything started off innocently enough with Nanjinai suggesting that everyone check out The Big Sick this winter. After all it is one of the best reviewed movies of the year, according to Rotten Tomatoes:
However, Nanjinai is nothing if not a caring soul, and he wants everyone to watch his movie regardless of their streaming service alliances. Predicting that not everyone may have access to Prime Video, the comedian and Silicon Valley star then added this helpful suggestion:

It’s not unusual for illegally uploaded versions of big movies to wind up on porn sites. This March, Esquire‘s Tyler Coates actually chronicled his experience watching Rogue One on Pornhub. So far, no on has been able to find The Big Sick on Pornhub, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there before and has since been removed. If you’re curious whether The Big Sick really is on adult sites and in the mood for some internet sleuthing, be warned. This particular search is not for the faint of heart.
Whether you’re thinking about renting the rom-com or acquiring it by less-than-legal means, The Big Sick is absolutely a must watch and worth your time. There are few modern movies sweeter and more genuinely compelling than this story about a new couple that’s faced with one of the most horrifying challenges imaginable — one of them (Zoe Kazan) falling into a coma. It’s a delightful movie, no matter where you watch it.
