Netflix Drops Trailer For Season 2 Of Its Kathy Bates Pot Comedy, ‘Disjointed’

If you love raunchy pot comedies and Netflix originals, you likely have a reason to get excited today. Netflix has released the trailer for Part 2 of its Kathy Bates-starring comedy, Disjointed. New episodes of the cannabis sitcom will be premiering on  January 12.

Created by David Javerbaum and Chuck Lorre, Disjointed follows Ruth Whitefeather Feldman (Bates), a head of a marijuana dispensary who has been advocating to legalize weed for decades. She employs her newly graduated son Travis (Aaron Moten) and a group of other young, pot-loving “budtenders” to help her. The rest of the show follows the same predictable sitcom routine but with more smoking, animation, and an anything-goes approach to cursing. There’s antics galore and lots of crazy drugged out trips.

When it first premiered, Disjointed was quickly written off by critics for being a relatively generic sitcom but with weed. The series currently has a 22 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, but, as a general rule, stoner friendly content isn’t made with snobby critics in mind. The show has an 80 percent audience score at the moment, implying that there is an audience for this quirky gem. However, because Netflix notoriously doesn’t release its streaming data, it’s impossible to know just how well watched this series is.

Part 2 of the series will release 10 more episodes. If you want to light up and zone out to something this January, who knows? Disjointed may be for you.
