Comedian and talk show host Ellen Degeneres woke up to find her name trending yesterday, although it wasn’t because of her new game show Game of Games. Nope, it was because she’s been implicated in a massive government conspiracy known as “the deep state” by the president’s son, Eric Trump! What news to wake up to!
Of course Ellen had to address this bizarre theory on her show, because, well, there’s comedy gold in this here tweet:
Seriously, just because Twitter is suggesting Eric follow Ellen along with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, she’s part of a massive liberal cabal–one that she, along with her audience, have never even heard of.
During her bit about this whole thing, Ellen asked if the “deep state” was “near Dollywood? ‘Cause I’m in, if it is.” She said that this is by far the craziest thing she’s seen this week, and she “saw that movie with the lady having sex with the fish, and still, this beats that.”
Ellen doesn’t even understand why the “deep state” thing exists, and how Eric thinks there’s a group of people outside the White House trying to undermine Donald Trump. “No one has undermined Donald Trump more than Donald Trump,” said Ellen.
Plus, she doesn’t have time for the “deep state,” what with her gay agenda meetings and Illuminati brunches! Instead of jumping to the conclusion that Degeneres is in sinister cahoots with Clinton and Obama, the comedian has another theory: Eric’s sisters Ivanka and Tiffany both follow her. Algorithms!
