Amazon Makes ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Free To Stream For One Weekend Only

There’s a three-day weekend coming up and Amazon has plans for you! Hot off of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s two Golden Globe wins, the streaming service is making their acclaimed dramedy free to stream to everybody. Yes, everybody.

Beginning on Friday, January 12 at 12:01 AM and ending at 11:59 PM on Monday, January 15, everyone–including people that don’t have an Amazon Prime account–will be able to stream all 8 episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for free. Yes, for free. Yes, everyone! The show will be available to stream for no cost via the Prime Video app on TVs and devices (full list here) as well as online at amazon.com/maisel.

Set in New York City in 1958, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is a whip-smart show about a woman that goes from being a housewife to taking the underground stand-up comedy scene by storm. Rachel Brosnahan won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy for her performance as the captivating and quick witted Midge Maisel, and the show itself won the award for Best Television Series-Musical or Comedy.

Created by Gilmore Girls‘ Amy Sherman-Palladino, the series also stars Tony Shalhoub as Midge’s overbearing father and Mad TV alum Alex Borstein as Midge’s gruff manager.

We are big supporters of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel here at Decider. We’ve said it’s better than Gilmore Girls, the perfect fix for Mad Men fans, a love letter to Jewish-American culture, and complex and provocative. If you’ve missed out on Midge’s comedy because you don’t have a Prime account, then a weekend of opportunity awaits you. Don’t miss out!
