Test Your ‘Harry Potter’ Knowledge At HBO’s Hogwarts House Challenge Events Across America

The Harry Potter-verse may not be getting a TV series anytime soon (do not believe those rumors!), but there is some magic stirring between the beloved film franchise and a streaming service. All eight Harry Potter films are now available to stream on HBO Go, presented for the first time on unedited and commercial-free.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, HBO is hosting a trio of events called the Hogwarts House Challenge in cities across America. The events, which are open to the public, will test Potter fans’ knowledge through trivia and challenges and thus crown the most dedicated fans of the Wizarding World. Additionally, prizes will be given out for Best Costume and Best Team Photo among other categories.

Attendees will also get a close-up look at the Harry Potter world via some original props from the films, including Tom Riddle’s diary with Basilisk fang, Lucius Malfoy’s “Caught” poster, Horace Slughorn’s hourglass, Bellatrix Lestrange’s dagger, and a “Magical Drafts and Potions” textbook.

The first event takes place in Atlanta tonight (January 18), with events in Boston (January 25) and Denver (January 31) following. A limited number of tickets will be available on HBO’s Facebook page. These free events are open to the public, you just need to pre-register for the event at one of the following links: AtlantaBoston, and Denver.
