‘SNL’ Tackles Trump’s Physical… Which Included The Tide Pod Challenge

Last night’s Saturday Night Live cold open was free of celebrity guests (or, it seemed, much inspiration), with cast members Aidy Bryant and Beck Bennett taking the stage as Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Dr. Ronny Jackson to present the results of Donald Trump’s recent physical and cognitive exams – results only slightly more absurdly glowing than the real thing.

The president, said Bennett’s Dr. Jackson, is “71 years and 7 months young,” weight “a very svelte 239 pounds,” with “legs that seem to go on forever.”

“The President’s got a rockin’ bod with a perfect amount of cushion for the pushin,” said the smitten doc. The mental tests proved the Commander in Chief is not “a monkey in people’s clothes.”

And, said Bryant’s Sanders, the president not only passed his physical and cognitive tests, “he even crushed the Tide Pod Challenge.”

Bryant opened the sketch by congratulating the nation’s women for their marches today and for the first year of the Trump Administration. “We did it, girls!,” said Bryant as Sanders.

Last night’s episode was hosted by Jessica Chastain, with musical guest Troye Sivan.
