Hillary Clinton’s Trump-Trolling Grammys Appearance Got The Whole Internet Talking

You can say a lot of things about Hillary Clinton, but you can’t deny the woman has a sense of humor. Last night, the former Secretary of State and Democratic candidate for President made a surprise appearance during the Grammy Awards that led to quite the reaction, both in the room (the laughter and cheers were so loud that they almost made her difficult to hear) and across the interwebs.

So how exactly did Clinton wind up doing a bit for the Grammys? Host James Corden held “auditions” for the spoken word version of Michael Wolff’s controversial “Fire and Fury”, which chronicles Donald Trump‘s first tumultuous year in the White House. The video began with stars like John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Cher, Cardi B, and DJ Khaled all reading excerpts, but the crowd totally lost it when a certain blonde appeared with the book covering her face and slowly lowered it to deliver a section that discussed Trump’s fear of being poisoned.

The internet (inevitably) went totally nuts for it. Fans were delighted, while Hillary haters found that it “politicized” the Grammys in a way they didn’t quite like. Thanks to reactions from both sides of the aisle, however, Clinton’s clever reading spawned some priceless headlines and tweets from all kinds of folks – including many who were totally thrilled:

A predictable few, however, were not fans of Clinton’s surprise Grammys appearance, and weren’t afraid to say so:

No word yet on how POTUS feels about the reading, but the D.C. McDonalds may have some intel.
