Tom Hiddleston And Maisie Williams Dish About Weird IMDB Trivia About Themselves

As anyone who has paid attention to Wikipedia can attest to, being a celebrity means having internet strangers make up weird facts about you. Maybe it’s a favorite song you’ve never even heard of or a class field trip you can’t remember. The internet is filled with obsessive people with the ability to distribute random facts to the masses, so of course every detail a celebrity spills about their life will end up filling the world wide void in some capacity. But at least in Tom Hiddleston and Maisie Williams‘ cases, all of those trivial IMDB facts seem to be accurate.

During a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 to promote the animated kid’s movie Early Man, Hiddleston and Williams were challenged about the weird IMDB facts floating around about them. Surprisingly, it seemed like IMDB was mostly right. Here’s your quick fact check on these two very famous actors:

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams does in fact own tortoises. She used to have four, but now she only has two — her original tortoise and one of its babies, which is blind. “We have a dying tortoise named Stevie,” she said. Also, Williams’ family did own 13 dogs at one time, but sadly that happened before Williams was born. “I wish that I was there,” she said regretfully. We feel your pain, Williams.

There was only one IMDB fact that was incorrect in the entire interview — John Tucker Must Die is not Williams’ favorite guilty pleasure movie. Her hesitant answer implies that it may have been her favorite movie at one point in time, but things change. People get older. Once beloved or at least tolerated movies are abandoned.

Up next is the god of mischief himself, Loki — er — Tom Hiddleston. It turns out the actor has selachophobia, which is an irrational fear of sharks, and he can juggle. Also, his eyes water involuntarily when he’s “spooked.” Hiddleston elaborated on that a bit, saying that when other people get scared, sometimes the hair on the back of their neck or arms stands up. “For me it’s an involuntary eye watering situation,” he said.

So there your have it, some confirmed facts about two delightful celebrities to push out whatever you learned during your ninth grade calculus class.
