If you’ve noticed a certain series popping up on Netflix as of late that seems a little familiar, you’re not crazy. Money Heist, a thrilling Spanish-language original series, is not that new to the platform – it’s La Casa de Papel‘s new international title. While the translation would be The House of Paper, its Netflix title gets even more literal, drawing from the heart of the show’s events: Money Heist. If you’ve already seen La Casa de Papel, there’s nothing new for you here, but for those of you who have yet to see it, you’re in for a total treat.

So what is Money Heist on Netflix?

If you’re a fan of the classic get-the-gang-together premise, Money Heist is right up your alley. The Spanish crime thriller follows Tokio (Úrsula Corberó), a young woman with a violent streak who finds herself sucked into a high-stakes heist when she has no other option. Lead by a mysterious man known only as “The Professor”, this group of talented individuals all gets assigned to their respective roles in the heist – and then things (predictably) get wild.
