Young Sisters Just Recreated Visuals From The Oscar Best Picture Nominees

There’s a lot to love about the Academy Awards. Themed parties, trying to win your Oscar pool, pretending you’ve seen all the nominees, it’s one of the most enjoyable pop culture nights of the year. But one of my favorite parts of the season is checking in on The Storino sisters.

For the eighth consecutive year, Maggie Storino has helped her trio of young daughters — Sophia, Sadie, and Sloane — dress up as the Best Picture nominees from the Academy Awards. If you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing these cosplaying dynamos in action, they go all out.

You can see the family’s pitch-perfect recreation of The Shape of Water above, but our favorite has to be their enchanting interpretation of Saoirse Ronan from Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird.

Here’s a different look at a few of 2018’s Best Picture nominees:

What began as an inside joke has evolved into what Maggie Storino calls “a minor family holiday” that the Storino clan look forward to each year.

Will the most adorable cosplayers in the game be back for 2019? Maggie told Mashable that they’ll keep the tradition alive as long as the girls continue to have fun with it.

You can take a look at all of the adorable photos from the 2018 nominees, as well as pics featuring previous Oscar-nominated films, over at Don’t Call Me Oscar.
