Every month, we’ve learned to say goodbye to some of our favorite titles on Netflix to make room for new and exciting movies and shows. Sometimes, that loss stings a little more than others, and with the impending exit of a handful of great titles on March 1 – including Anastasia – has us a tad emotional. Before the animated musical about the lost Romanov Grand Duchess departs the platform this Thursday, take one last journey to the past and indulge in this historical fantasy – it’s better than you remember.

You may be tempted to write off Anastasia as children’s fare, but there is so much to love about this movie (and it may very well make you feel a little warmer and fuzzier about the Russians than we have as of late). Rom-com queen Meg Ryan voices Anya, the amnesiac orphan who unknowingly is the last remaining Romanov descendant. It’s a joy to watch her spunky back-and-forth with Dimitri (John Cusack), the con man with a heart of gold who somehow cooks up sparky chemistry with his counterpart even as an animated character. (I can’t be the only person who had my first real crush on Dimitri. Come on.)

With catchy tunes you won’t be able to get out of your head for months, suspenseful, exciting action sequences, and a totally charming romance at its heart, Anastasia is the perfect final watch of February. You’ll believe in the power of love, the value of friendship, and the magic of finding out who you really are! There may be little truth to the story, but who cares about facts when you can get swept up in a Russian fairytale (and sing along in the process)?
