We all love the Winter Olympics, but the downside of the patriotic battle for athletic dominance is that it takes us away from our favorite shows. Ever since Super Bowl Sunday’s intense offering and the emotional follow-up episode, fans have been wondering when the final three episodes of This Is Us will air.
A slew of viewers were so caught up in all the Olympic hoopla that they actually flocked to Google to make sure the show wasn’t canceled. That’s right. This is Us fans were so concerned about the dearth of all-new episodes that they believed that the beloved series could be gone for good.
Don’t worry, Pearson family fanatics. Not only does NBC’s hit drama return tonight, but we have some clarification regarding Season 3.
IS THIS IS US ENDING IN 2018? HAS THIS IS US BEEN CANCELLED?
LOL. Come on, guys. This series isn’t going anywhere. Fans asking “Is this the final season of This Is Us?” can rest easy. After the season (not series) finale, the hit NBC drama will definitely return for Season 3, most likely in the fall of 2018.
Is This Is Us ending? No. Absolutely not.
HAS THIS IS US BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 3?
Yes! NBC rewarded the feverishly-adored series with a two-season renewal back in January of 2017. Both the current season and Season 3 will consist of 18 episodes.
WHEN ARE THE FINAL 3 EPISODES OF THIS IS US AIRING?
Episode 16, “Vegas, Baby” airs tonight (Tuesday, February 27) on NBC. The penultimate episode of the season airs next week, March 6th to be exact, on NBC.
It’s been reported that Season 2 will conclude with an episode centered on the wedding of Kate and Toby. The finale is scheduled to air Tuesday, March 13th on NBC.
WHAT ABOUT JACK PEARSON? WILL WE BE SEEING HIM IN SEASON 3?
The series may have finally revealed the cause of Jack’s death, but that doesn’t mean This Is Us is going to forget about Milo Ventimiglia. As the above promo states, “Jack’s story has just begun.”
The show’s unique narrative structure means that Jack will return for Season 3. “I think there would be a (fan) revolt if we got less Milo,” series creator Dan Fogelman told USA Today.
