The cast of Modern Family is joining the fight for gun control in America. In light of the tragic February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the actors from the ABC comedy have come together for an exclusive PSA for Everytown for Gun Safety.

Cast members Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, and Ariel Winter recorded solemn messages in solidarity with the teenagers from Parkland fighting to end gun violence.

“We sent our condolences and support to the students of Parkland,” said Ferguson in the video. “And people everywhere fighting for common sense gun laws,” added Hyland, who plays Haley Dunphy.

“Your bravery and resolve in response to the senseless tragedy inspires us and gives us hope that someday our lawmakers will stop putting the interests of the NRA ahead of what’s best for our children,” said Bowen, O’Neill, and Vergara.

Winter urged people to “register to vote”, and the group emphasized the necessity of everyone getting involved. The cast promised to be by their side during the March for Our Lives taking place later this month in some 475 communities across the world. “We will be right there by your side as Americans take to the streets on March 24th,” said O’Neill. The group also showed their support for the #NeverAgain movement, which advocates for stricter gun legislation so that the tragedy at Parkland will never be repeated.

“On behalf of families everywhere, never, never, never, never again. Never again.”
