When Can You Watch ‘Call The Midwife’ Season 7?

Call The Midwife might just be the most beloved show on PBS. The period drama follows the lives of the midwives, doctors, and nuns of Nonnatus House, a convent that provides necessary labor & delivery assistance to a poor London neighborhood. The series tackles difficult questions of class and morality, while also drawing its younger characters into a swoon-y soap opera.

Over the years we’ve met and said goodbye to Jenny Lee, seen Shelagh quit the church and fall in love, and even stopped by South Africa for a spell. It’s been a ride. And there’s more to come! Call The Midwife Season 7 will be hitting PBS very, very soon. But how soon? What’s it going to be about? And who is the new midwife at Nonnatus House? Here’s everything we know so far about Call The Midwife Season 7.

(Also, this is for American viewers. We know you’ve already seen it, England!)

When Does Call The Midwife Season 7 Come Out?

Season 7 is due to premiere stateside on PBS on Sunday, March 25 at 8 PM.

FYI: The first two episodes of the season will air back-to-back that night, so you’ll get double the drama.

Is There A New Midwife This Season?

Yes! Leonie Elliott is joining the cast as Lucille Anderson, a West Indian midwife. Even though her colleagues at Nonnatus House welcome her, Lucille will sadly experience racism from some of her patients.
