In typical Pearson fashion, the This Is Us Season 2 finale delivered a few laughs, a couple of tears, and a dazzling array of “wait, what??!” moments. If you haven’t seen the finale, spoilers ahead!

Season 2 concluded with Kate and Toby saying ‘I do,’ but it was the final moments of the episode that the passionate This is Us fanbase can’t stop talking about. The NBC drama ended on a cliffhanger that featured a brief fast-forward into the future, which makes sense considering how much time the show spends in the past. One of the biggest revelations is that Kevin is now dating Beth’s cousin Zoe, who fans on social media thought was played by former Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham.

Cousin Zoe is portrayed by British actress Melanie Liburd, who you might recognize from the science fiction series Dark Matter or as Alexis from Naomi Watts’ Netflix thriller Gypsy.

The actress has also appeared on Fox’s The Grinder and on this super cool underground HBO series you probably haven’t heard of titled Game of Thrones, where she portrayed a Red Priestess on the streets of Meereen in the episode “No One.”

WILL ZOE BE STICKING AROUND FOR SEASON 3?

You bet! The flash-forward at the end of the season finale revealed that Zoe and Kevin are now dating and heading to Vietnam. Co-showrunner Elizabeth Berger spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the plans for Zoe and Kevin heading into Season 3.

“When we come back, we’re going to be embarking on a new chapter with them sort of discovering their romance, and their relationship, and figuring out what they are,” Berger said. “We can expect to see her for a while.”

Berger also noted that we’ll be meeting more of Beth and Zoe’s extended family and “throwing them into scenes with Kevin and Randall.”
