WHERE HAVE I SEEN ON MY BLOCK’S JASON GENAO BEFORE?
Before the actor nabbed the role of Ruby, he portrayed Napoleon on Netflix’s The Get Down. He also played Rictor in James Mangold’s 2017 action-thriller Logan and appeared in an episode of Law & Order: SVU.
GENAO DIDN’T EXPLORE ACTING BEYOND SCHOOL PRODUCTIONS UNTIL HE WAS SIXTEEN.
“I kinda felt like it was something that was unreachable,” Genao said of his acting aspirations during a 2017 interview. “So I gave up on it for a while.”
The actor revealed that watching the French film La Vie en Rose reignited his love for acting.
HOW OLD IS JASON GENAO?
A March 2017 NJ.com profile of Genao referred to him as a “20-year-old,” but we have no official confirmation on that. The actor also mentions in the article that he hopes to win an Oscar and provided some inspirational advice for anyone thinking about giving up on a dream: “Life is too short to settle.”
