UPDATE (4/13/18 11:30 a.m. ET): On My Block has been renewed for a second season at Netflix. Season 2 will premiere on Friday, March 29, 2019.
I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir here, but Netflix’s On My Block is a blast. From the minds of Eddie Gonzalez, Jeremy Haft, and Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich, the endearing coming-of-age series follows a squad of high school friends trying to survive the inescapable epicenter of angst known as high school in South Central, L.A. Brimming with humor and authenticity, the teen comedy combines an exceptionally talented group of young actors and crisp writing to create a fun, John Hughesian vibe that treats the teen genre with the respect it so richly deserves.
Now that we’ve all streamed Season 1, everyone wants to know when they can expect to see new episodes. Will this charming teen comedy be renewed for a new season? The story can’t possibly conclude with *** redacted spoiler*** right?

You know it. We recently provided readers with the 4-1-1 on Diego Tinoco (Cesar Diaz) and Jason Genao (Ruby Martinez).
HAS NETFLIX’S ON MY BLOCK BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 2?
Not yet, but don’t worry, Blockheads, that’s normal. The coming-of-age comedy only premiered on March 16th, so the fact that Netflix has yet to officially renew the series shouldn’t be cause for concern.
Everything Sucks, a comparable Netflix series, premiered a month earlier and has yet to be given a second season.
DO YOU THINK ON MY BLOCK WILL BE RENEWED FOR SEASON 2?
I do. Honestly, I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a second season. The show features a breakout cast of young actors, clever writing, and is almost universally adored earning a 100% Tomatometer Rating and 99% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.
There’s been a ton of positive social chatter about the show too. Although, some fans are accidentally referring to the series as On The Block instead of On My Block. Chances for a Season 2 of the fictitious Netflix series On The Block are also pretty good.
WHAT DOES THE CAST THINK ABOUT A SEASON 2 OF ON MY BLOCK?

IN YOUR OPINION, WHEN IS THE NEXT SEASON OF ON MY BLOCK?
Netflix ordered Season 1 of On My Block back in December of 2017 and the series premiered in March of 2018. With that in mind, if Netflix chooses to renew the series, and we believe they will, we might see On My Block Season 2 in March of 2019.
