Fans who’ve already streamed all thirteen Season 1 episodes of Netflix’s heartwarming comedy Alexa & Katie are asking the same question: When can we expect to binge Season 2!?
Netflix’s first multi-cam comedy series, the surprisingly upbeat sitcom centers on Alexa Mendoza (Paris Berelc), an exuberant teen who doesn’t want her cancer diagnosis to get in the way of her life. Despite Alexa’s cancer treatment, her enthusiasm never falters, especially with her loyal, quirky, and awkwardly adorable best friend Katie (Isabel May) by her side. In Decider’s review of Alexa & Katie, Meghan O’Keefe noted that the series “celebrates kindness, courage, and the unflagging strength of friendship.”

HAS ALEXA AND KATIE BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 2?
You bet! The freshman comedy was just renewed for a sophomore year at Netflix.
The series only premiered on March 23rd, but Netflix has seen enough to order a second season of the show. It makes sense; the Netflix streamer currently boasts a 100% Tomatometer and 77% Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
WHAT WILL SEASON 2 OF ALEXA AND KATIE LOOK LIKE?
Series creator Heather Wordham recently spoke with IndieWire about potentially exploring issues beyond Alexa’s illness in Season 2.
“As she gets better, what does that mean?” Wordham said. “Some of these adults I talked to who had cancer as kids said that after they got better, they had this feeling of isolation. Because they didn’t look sick anymore, nobody treated them that way, so their worry was just internal. It’s a hard thing to show, but it was such an interesting insight.”

Fans of this Netflix series are clamoring to unearth the Alexa and Katie Season 2 release date.
Netflix ordered Season 1 of Alexa and Katie back in April of 2017, and the series premiered in March of 2018. With that in mind, our best guess is that Season 2 of Alexa and Katie will premiere in February or March of 2019.
