Since Roseanne returned, fans have had one question: How is Dan alive? Oh, no, not that one. Did the Conners really win the lottery? Not that one, either. Where is Jackie’s son? Okay, also not that one! In addition to all of those great mysteries (many of which have been solved, BTW), fans have been wondering what happened to David.
We know what happened to Johnny Galecki. He went on to star in The Big Bang Theory, which is still on the air and the main reason why David isn’t a regular on the new series. And so far we’ve only gotten hints about his and Darlene’s separation. She’s moved back home to Lanford with their kids Harris and Mark, and David has been MIA.
All that is set to change with this week’s episode, an installment epically titled “Darlene v. David.” ABC has released a promo for the episode, which moves from clips from the old series (see how young everyone looks!) to the upcoming new episode. Judging by the reaction David has to Dan (John Goodman), the reunion looks like it’s gonna be a tense one.
Roseanne airs on Tuesdays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes can be streamed starting on Wednesday morning on Hulu.
