**Black Panther**

Marvel's record-breaking flick picks up right after the events of *Captain America: Civil War* as King T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns home to Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader following the death of his father. When villainous figures conspire to destroy Wakanda and drag the country into a world war, however, it turns out taking the throne might not be as easy as he thought it might be.

**Iron Man**

Perhaps the Marvel flick that made superheroes cool again, Jon Favreau's first installment in the *Iron Man* franchise introduces us to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and the birth of Iron Man through his kidnapping by terrorists and eventual escape. Funny, suspenseful, and action-packed, it's no wonder that *Iron Man* kicked off the new age of Marvel.

**The Avengers**

The first time we ever see Earth's mightiest heroes come together on-screen, *The Avengers* rounds up Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, and Hawkeye to fight the villainous Loki as he tries to take over the world. Full of memorable one-liners and top-notch action sequences, *The Avengers* might be one of the best films that the MCU has to offer.

**Thor: Ragnarok**

Taika Waititi truly shook up the MCU with this installment in the *Thor* franchise. **Guardians of the Galaxy**

Perhaps a more kooky *Avengers* fueled by a bumpin' soundtrack, *Guardians of the Galaxy* bands together a group of intergalactic misfits to try to put an end to the maniacal plans of a deranged warrior to take over the universe. Filled with laughs, love, and lots of good music, James Gunn's flick is an offbeat blast.

**Doctor Strange**

Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Dr. Stephen Strange in this gorgeous adaptation of the beloved comic. To protect New York City and the rest of the worlds from threats across dimensions, he must utilize his newfound abilities and learn lessons about his power along the way. This gorgeous, thrilling flick is bound to appeal to comic lovers and the general public alike.

**Captain America: The Winter Soldier**
