If there’s one thing Disney and Marvel are good at, it’s keeping secrets. With the release of mega-movie Avengers: Infinity War, the studio has gone so far as to start a hashtag warning folks against spoiling the film online: #ThanosDemandsYourSilence. Even the cast members have been kept in the dark, with many of them receiving fake scripts and only knowing about their own scenes. Jimmy Kimmel has spent this week interrogating groups of the massive cast about what happens in the film, and last night, he got a small sliver of Earth’s mightiest heroes to reveal Infinity War spoilers.

Kimmel encouraged the audience to hum or look away if they didn’t want to hear these shocking plot developments. Bathed in dramatic lighting and accompanied by intense music cues, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, and Winston Duke each looked dead into the camera and revealed a “spoiler” about their respective characters.

“Oh boy… I can get into a lot of trouble for this,” began Duke. “I play M’Baku, and… I run… really fast.”

Olsen then somberly took her turn. “I see a train, and wear… ripped jeans,” she said, as Duke comforted her.

“You guys wanted it?” Cheadle said, deadpanning. “About halfway through the movie, I get on… a conference call.”

As Cheadle folded onto himself and received pats on the back from his peers, Cumberbatch prepared himself for his own reveal.

“I feel a bit sick,” said Cumberbatch, his eyes misty. “I… I stand in the middle of the street. No crosswalk.”

We can’t imagine how Marvel is taking this crushing betrayal of trust. Avengers: Infinity War is now playing in theaters everywhere.
