‘Arrested Development’ Creator Announces Two New Seasons…Sorta

Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz dropped some real news today on Twitter, with not one but TWO developments about the beloved comedy series.

First: he knows you thought season four was kinda wack and he used his free time to try and fix that. Releasing this Friday on Netflix will be a “remixed” version of season four, where instead of focusing each episode on one member of the Bluth family, he has instead recut the episodes to make them more coherent and also not seem like the season was thrown together due to the cast’s busy schedules. He compared the season to a BLT, but delicious sandwiches aside, Hurwitz explained that he “recut it — shuffling the content from 15 individualized stories into 22 interwoven stories the length of the original series — as an experiment.”

Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences (that’s what it’s called!) was not the only good news. Hurwitz also promised that the fifth season will also be coming to Netflix soon. “Like real soon. Like, if you knew when, you would not be wrong to be thinking, ‘Why are we all just hearing this now?'”
