Conan O’Brien sat down with comedian and I Feel Pretty star Rory Scovel to discuss his leading man role in the Amy Schumer film, and the subsequent article we wrote about him being “sneaky sexy.”
After Scovel described how he got the role in the film, O’Brien noted, “Now these comments come out online like this one, this website wrote this about you: Rory Scovel Leads A New Generation of ‘Sneaky Sexy’ Leading Men.”
He followed that up with a comment that had a tinge of snark to it, but we all know to be the truth, stating, “Here’s the thing, when Decider gets the word out, it’s gospel.”
“They’ve decided,” Scovel agreed.
O’Brien continued by saying, “It feels like a backhanded compliment,” and Scovel came prepared with this thoughts on the matter.
“I love that it’s like ‘sneaky sexy.’ On the outside, no way, but then we get to know him and we’re like, maybe there’s something to this guy,” he joked.
To both Scovel and O’Brien, please know there’s nothing sneaky about this shout out: it’s pure sexy, as are you two gents.
