Steve Carell

**Character:** Michael Scott (Seasons 1-7)
Of all the *Office* alums, odds are you know what Steve Carell has been up to. *The 40-Year-Old Virgin* made him a movie star in-between Seasons 1 and 2 of the show, and his career hasn't slowed down since he left the show early either. He voices Gru in the *Despicable Me* and *Minions* franchises, and has starred in serious films like *Foxcatcher* (which got him an Oscar nomination), *The Big Short* (which got him a Golden Glob nom) and *Battle of the Sexes* (another GG nom, pictured).Photos: Netflix, Everett Collection

**Rainn Wilson**

**Character:** Dwight Schrute (Seasons 1-9)
After playing the antagonistic and arrogant Dwight Schrute for 9 seasons, Rainn Wilson hoped he could continue on in the spinoff *The Farm*. NBC passed on the show, meaning Wilson didn't return to TV until 2015's short-lived crime dramedy *Backstrom*. 2017 was big for Wilson, who starred in the feature films *Shimmer Lake* and *Permanent*, and he sunk his teeth into the role of Harry Mudd on *Star Trek: Discovery* (pictured). **John Krasinski**

**Character:** Jim Halpert (Seasons 1-9)
Jim Halpert got tough. In the years since *The Office*, John Krasinski has drifted towards action roles, as seen in *13 Hours* and Amazon's upcoming series *Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan*. He also had a role in 2017's historical drama *Detroit*. But his big return to the spotlight came not too long ago with *A Quiet Place* (pictured), the blockbuster horror film that he also directed. **Jenna Fischer**

**Character:** Pam Beesly (Seasons 1-9)
Like her TV husband Krasinski, Jenna Fischer also stepped away from the spotlight for a bit after *The Office* ended. She appeared in the UK comedy miniseries *You, Me and the Apocalypse* in 2015, had a recurring role on the short-lived NBC show *The Mysteries of Laura* in 2016, and did guest spots on *The Grinder* and *Drunk History*. **B.J. Novak**

**Character:** Ryan Howard (Seasons 1-8)
Right after *The Office*, B.J. Novak played a role in the historical biopics about Disney (*Saving Mr. Banks*) and McDonald's (*The Founder*). In between those roles, he had a small role in *The Amazing Spider-Man 2*, and recurring appearances in HBO's *The Newsroom* and his old *Office* co-star Mindy Kaling's *The Mindy Project* (pictured). **Ed Helms**

**Character:** Andy Bernard (Seasons 3-9)
Like Carell, Ed Helms' movie career took off during his run on *The Office* with the release of the first two *Hangover* movies. Post-*Office*, Helms has an IMDb page that won't quit. He's starred in *We're the Millers*, *They Came Together*, the *Vacation* relaunch, *Love the Coopers*, *The Clapper*, *I Do... Until I Don't*, and *Father Figures*. He even took on a dramatic role in this year's Kennedy family biopic *Chappaquiddick* (pictured). **Leslie David Baker**

**Character:** Stanley Hudson (Seasons 1-9)
Leslie David Baker spent 9 seasons stealing scenes with nothing but the blink of an eye, and since the show ended he's brought his straightforward delivery on guest roles on *Key and Peele*, *Scorpion*, *Life in Pieces*, and *Raven's Home*. In 2016 he had a recurring role on CMT's sitcom *Still the King* (pictured), which starred Billy Ray Cyrus. **Brian Baumgartner**

**Character:** Kevin Malone (Seasons 1-9)
The actor formerly seen in Scranton's best Police cover band has spent the last few years popping up on a ton of TV shows. *Mike & Molly*, *Criminal Minds*, *Law & Order: SVU*, *Hot in Cleveland*, *Scream Queens*, *The Goldbergs*-Baumgartner is keeping busy! **Kate Flannery**

**Character:** Meredith Palmer (Seasons 1-9)
Since putting hot mess Meredith to rest, Kate Flannery has continually popped up on sitcoms in guest roles over the past five years. She's done spots on *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, *New Girl*, *American Housewife*, and *Kevin (Probably) Saves the World* over the past few years. But her biggest roles lately have been as a voice actress, since she landed the role of Carol in *OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes* and Barb Miller in *Steven Universe*. **Angela Kinsey**

**Character:** Angela Martin (Seasons 1-9)
Angela Kinsey kept it cold as Dunder Mifflin's snooty accountant, and she's kept televisions hot in a number of lead roles on the Hulu series *The Hotwives of Orlando* in 2014 and *The Hotwives of Las Vegas* in 2015. She also starred in just-ended Netflix original *Haters Back Off!* and has had recurring roles on *Fresh Off the Boat* and *The Real O'Neals*. **Oscar Nunez**

**Character:** Oscar Martinez (Seasons 1-9)
Of all the supporting Dunder Mifflin players, Oscar Nunez has maybe had the busiest post-*Office* career. Dude has been everywhere. He's had regular roles on the 2014 USA one-season comedy *Benched*, and currently appears on the TBS series *People of Earth* (pictured). **Phyllis Smith**

**Character:** Phyllis Vance (Seasons 1-9)
Contrary to Nunez, Phyllis Smith has actually spent a lot of time off since the *Office* ended. She had a recurring role on the canceled show *Trophy Wife* in 2013, and did a guest spot on *The Middle* in 2014. Her biggest role, though, is one of the biggest roles on this entire list: she provided the voice for Sadness in the Disney/Pixar movie *Inside Out*! **Mindy Kaling**

**Character:** Kelly Kapoor (Seasons 1-8)
Like Carell and Helms, Mindy Kaling's career blew up while she was playing the celeb-obsessed social climber Kelly. Kaling created and starred in her own sitcom *The Mindy Project*, which debuted before *The Office* ended, ran for six seasons, and just wrapped up last year. Obviously starring in her own critically-acclaimed sitcom kept Kaling busy, but she also had the time to provide a voice for *Inside Out* (Disgust), write another book (2015's *Why Not Me?*), and take on the role of Mrs. Who in the big budget adaptation of *A Wrinkle in Time* (pictured). **Paul Lieberstein**

**Character:** Toby Flenderson (Seasons 1-9)
Paul Lieberstein was one of the actors that pulled double duty as a writer and actor on *The Office*, and his post-show career has taken a similar dual track. He's had recurring roles on HBO's *The Newsroom* and TBS' *People of Earth*, and he did a guest spot on *The Mindy Project* (pictured). Behind the scenes, he also directed episodes of *The Newsroom* and *The Mindy Project*. **Creed Bratton**

**Character:** Creed Bratton (Seasons 1-9)
Can one truly know what Creed Bratton, the man or the character, does? In many ways, he is unknowable-although his IMDb page offers some insight. Bratton has mostly maintained a low profile after *The Office*, popping up as a judge on *Franklin & Bash*, a bit character on *Comedy Bang! Bang!*, and an older bar dude on *Grace & Frankie* (pictured). More recently, though, Bratton's loaned his voice to the Amazon original animated series *The New V.I.P.'s*.Photos: Netflix

**Craig Robinson**

**Character:** Darryl Philbin (Seasons 2-9)
Craig Robinson is another actor who went from a bit player on *The Office* to a movie star by the time the show ended, thanks to the surprise success of 2010's *Hot Tub Time Machine*. After leaving Dunder Mifflin, Robinson starred in the films *This Is the End*, *Hot Tub Time Machine 2*, and voiced Grits in *Sausage Party*. He's had a recurring role as Andy Samberg's nemesis Doug Judy on *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*. And in 2015, he briefly had his own sitcom, *Mr. Robinson*. **Ellie Kemper**

**Character:** Erin Hannon (Seasons 5-9)
The success of *Bridesmaids* in 2011 really helped Ellie Kemper jump from Pam's replacement at reception to a potential star-and that potential has been realized in the years since the finale. Kemper landed her own series, the Netflix comedy *Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt* (pictured), a role that's snagged her back to back Emmy nominations. Can you believe it’s been five years since we last spent a nine to five shift with the employees of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch? Okay–TBH, you’ve probably not gone a week without clocking in via reruns or Netflix binges. Over the last five years, The Office has gone from canceled comedy to Netflix comfort food. People still can’t get enough of Jim’s pranks or Dwight’s quirks or Kelly’s schemes or Angela’s scowls.

But in the five years since The Office wrapped up its nine-season run on NBC, the show’s cast have gone on to do some impressive things. Some, like Steve Carell and Ed Helms, have become legit movie stars. Others, like Mindy Kaling and Jenna Fischer and Ellie Kemper, have moved on to headlining their own TV comedies. And then just this year, John Krasinski wowed everyone by proving he’s one helluva horror director (don’t see A Quiet Place alone!). This is a star-studded cast that keeps popping up, surprising fans in new roles year after year.
