A+E Networks’ ‘History of Soccer’ Docuseries Coming to Amazon Prime in Time for World Cup [Exclusive]

If you’re looking for something to hype you up about the World Cup this week, Amazon has your back. The streaming service has revealed exclusively to Decider that the docuseries History of Soccer, which comes from A+E’s History, is coming to Amazon Prime Video on June 15.

The History of Soccer docuseries something that sports documentary lovers should flag. The collection, which is also available to stream through the History Vault Channel, is composed of 15 videos and contains over 12 hours of experts dissecting classic games and arguing about their favorite players. The docuseries includes spotlights on Diego Maradona, Zinedine Zidane, David Villa, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthäus, and Thomas Müller.

The documentaries in History of Soccer are divided into three parts — Soccer’s Greatest Moments, Soccer’s Godfathers, and Soccer’s Greatest Players. Each special contains five roughly 45-minute episodes, which you can read about below:
