Jimmy Brooks is back! Drake sure got the attention of Twitter last night when he released the video for his latest song, “I’m Upset,” which features his old pals, the cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation.
The video starts with Drake sneaking out of bed with a lady…while wearing a full OVO green sweatsuit…in the middle of a basketball court…but there’s no time to parse the details here, this guy’s gotta get to his high school reunion!
And so Drake heads to the Degrassi Community School reunion to meet up with his old friends, and also Jay and Silent Bob (Jay Mewes and Kevin Smith).
The entire video is a sweet and satisfying dose of nostalgia for fans of the Canadian teen drama series, but for those expecting their own high school reunions to even be a fraction as cool and eventful as this one: it most certainly will not be.
The choice for the video is also an interesting one for the actor-turned-rapper as he’s been involved in one of hip hop’s juiciest beefs lately with Pusha-T. However, the video does confirm that Drake, in so many ways, knows how to get the internet riled up time and time again.
