'True Detective': Undercover Orgy

This super-hyped "colossal" orgy scene featuring multiple porn stars took place in the background while Rachel McAdams' Ani Bezzerides went to a sex party disguised as a call girl. While there's decidedly not a lot that's sexy about the reveal of Ani's past sexual abuse during her drug-induced state and the current rescue mission of a missing young woman, the Eyes Wide Shut-esque, golden-hued set-up of it all makes it one of the most memorable orgies from a series.

'True Blood': Orgy From Hell

While this is not the first - or last - orgy to ever take place on HBO's hit vampire show, it's certainly the most memorable one. The villainous Maryann's crazy sexual energy somehow charms the entire town into engaging in group sex and other bizarre and violent activities for days - and she grows more and more powerful from this giant orgy as it continues.

'Westworld': Robots Gone Wild

HBO once again got the internet buzzing when early reports that actors had to sign "genital-to-genital touching" consent forms began circulating before Westworld had even debuted. The highly-anticipated scene was finally revealed in the series' fifth episode, 'Contrapasso', when William (Jimmi Simpson), Logan (Ben Barnes), and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) are taken to the super-steamy town of Pariah, which seems to be in a constant state of group sex. This visually-charged sequence involving a hall of sex-happy robots certainly does not disappoint.

A a transgender lesbian, gay man, and two straight dudes are the sensates who make up this psychic orgy that ends the sixth episode. There are rarely ever group sex scenes seen like this on television (or Netflix, the place this show calls home). Gorgeously shot and extremely erotic, the scene was made even more powerful from the fact that these characters were all connecting on so many levels - not just physical.

'Eyes Wide Shut': Yes, That One

Stanley Kubrick's story of a man (Tom Cruise) who embarks on an insane sexual adventure after learning his wife (Nicole Kidman) has considered being unfaithful to him has been causing controversy for its explicit sex scenes since its 1999 release. This infamous orgy at Somerton Mansion features a series of masked figures and naked bodies getting it on pretty much on every surface imaginable.

'Shortbus': Group Effort

Since this movie is about, well, a young couple attending sex parties, it would be kind of strange for it not to include a wild sex party of its own. John Cameron Mitchell's 2006 erotic dramedy follows a sex therapist who has never had an orgasm. By the end of the film, while the city is experiencing a widespread blackout, she finally achieves her goal - in the middle of a massive orgy (full of totally wonderful weirdos).

'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer': Olfactory Arousal

While this definitely isn't the sexist selection on the list, it's certainly the grandest in scale. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer depicts a young man which an extraordinary sense of smell (Ben Whishaw) who begins murdering women in the quest to capture their scents and create the perfect perfume. This colossal orgy occurs after he finally releases his perfect scent on the crowd who is awaiting his hanging, and their olfactory arousal causes this widespread, sexy chaos (it took 750 extras to film this 2 minute scene!).

'Bram Stoker's Dracula': Sharing is Caring

Gary Oldman stars in this sexy spin on a classic tale, and his three wives have a penchant for group sex. They tag-team his rival (Keanu Reeves) to seduce him and suck his blood, and he becomes the reluctant participant in a series of seriously twisted orgies with this trio of deviants. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for Keanu, Dracula's not super down to share, so he ends this sexytime pretty abruptly.

'Sense8': Series FInale

The series ending orgy that featured all 14 main characters in a wedding-night interconnected sex celebration played like the Six Feet Under finale, except instead of characters bound by family winding inexorably towards their individual deaths, it's bodies bound by a strange sense connection moving inexorable towards sexual climax. It was genuinely beautiful and super hot.
