Guy Pearce Says Kevin Spacey Was “Handsy” With Him On The ‘L.A. Confidential’ Set

It’s been some nine months since Anthony Rapp came forward alleging that Kevin Spacey made a sexual advance towards him when he was 14, and since then, over a dozen others have accused the award-winning actor of predatory behavior. In a new interview with Andrew Denton on Australian talkshow Interview, Spacey’s former L.A. Confidential costar Guy Pearce has also come forward with his own tale of Spacey’s antics.

Pearce got personal about his own love life, family, and former costars during the chat, and when asked by Denton about working with Spacey, Pearce opened up about their time working together: “Yeah… yeah. Tough one to talk about at the moment,” admitted Pearce. “Amazing actor; incredible actor. Slightly difficult time with Kevin, yeah.”

“He’s a handsy guy,” added Pearce, eliciting gasps and laughter from the audience. “Thankfully, I was 29 and not 14.”

Police in London and Los Angeles are currently investigating a series of allegations against Spacey, including an alleged 1992 sexual assault in West Hollywood and a series of incidents during his tenure as director of London’s Old Vic Theatre from 2004 to 2015. Spacey was fired from his hit Netflix series House of Cards and cut from Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World last fall, and has not made any public statements since November of 2017.
