HBO’s TCA Summer 2018 Panel: All The Important Announcements

HBO kicked off the first day of this summer’s Television Critics Association tour, and they didn’t disappoint. From news about beloved staples like Game of Thrones to the announcement of several new projects, like the premiere date for Lena Dunham’s latest series, it’s been an action-packed day for the cable network.

The biggest stories from HBO programming president Casey Bloys’ executive session had to do with the premiere date of Game of Thrones’ final season and the official announcement of a Deadwood movie. However, HBO also made a ton of other announcements about its critically-acclaimed originals that are worth spotlighting. Over this next fall period, HBO will premiere Season 2 of The Deuce, a new series starring Jennifer Garner and David Tennant, an original movie starring Peter Dinklage, the conclusion of its hit miniseries Sharp Objects, a Flight of the Conchords special, the premiere of the Pod Save America show, and at least 12 new and original documentaries, one of which centers around Jane Fonda. We know that’s a lot to keep track of, so we’re here to help.

Here are all of the new HBO announcements from this busy television day. Scroll through with your calendar open. There’s a lot of excellent shows and specials in your television future, and you won’t want to miss anything.
