‘The Break’ On Netflix: ‘Comedian’ Michelle Wolf Calls Ivanka Trump a Nazi (Meta!)

Get ready because Michelle Wolf is coming in hot. The host of The Break started her Netflix variety series this past weekend by implying that Ivanka Trump is a Nazi. But before you get offended and start tweeting at Fox News, don’t worry. The comedian also pre-made an outraged banner for the news network because she cares.

“Big news, big news this week. Ivanka Trump is closing her fashion line, so you know what that means,” the comedian said. “You better buy Ivanka’s clothes while you still can. Nazi memorabilia tends to skyrocket in value.”

After delivering the joke to a gasping audience, Wolf then gave a peace offering to Fox News. She posed for a Fox & Friends segment above the headline “‘Comedian’ Michelle Wolf Calls Ivanka Trump a Nazi.” The sarcastic quotation marks were really a nice touch.

Wolf then dug into Ivanka Trump some more, calling her “the least powerful Jewish woman” for her failure to keep her clothing company afloat and saying that she’s just Donald Trump “if he drank water and had a better wig.” The late night host also threw in a few Jared Kushner jokes for good measure.

Despite that fiery opening, “Wet Boys” is actually one of the weakest episodes of The Break‘s first season. The episode had two great and scathing sketches — one about a new Netflix true crime docuseries called The Husband Did It and another for a line of cars that run on untested rape kits. But Wolf’s double monologue, which included a roughly five minute set on dead crows, didn’t land as hard as her punches typically do. In her defense it is creepy in a world-altering way to learn that crows are sometimes into necrophilia. Maybe pure shock is responsible for the crow-heavy episode. Here’s hoping Fight Milk will be a sponsor in The Break’s future.

New episodes of The Break with Michelle Wolf premiere Sundays on Netflix.
