Southbound (2017)

Claimed to be one of the best thrillers of the year, this movie is a horror anthology, meaning it has 5 interconnected and yet separate tales. A group of travelers encounter malevolent spirits at a truck stop, a mysterious traveler, a car accident and a home invasion as they make their way down an eerie stretch of highway.

Heathers (1988)

Heathers is a little bit like Mean Girls, only set in the 80’s and a whole lot darker. Winona Ryder stars as Veronica, a popular girl who hates the culture of the popular girls. She meets a new boy who is a bit mysterious and things movie from scary to really scary – fast!

The Hostage (1967)

This low budget crime drama is perfect to satisfy all your campy old school thriller needs. Made in 1967 (yes, they had movies back then!), the film stars a six year old boy who, after witnessing a murder, is trapped in a moving van with the two killers. The mid Atlantic accents and the trailer captions make you feel like you’re in a poodle skirt at the drive in and we are here for this nasty nostalgia.
