The Pitch: In this stand-up comedy series, a diverse group of up-and-coming comedians perform 15-minute sets in front of a live audience. Part 2 features comedy from Aisling Bea, JR De Guzman, Janelle James, Josh Johnson, Matteo Lane, Max Silvestri, Kate Willett, and Emma Willmann.

Why We’re Excited: When Part 1 of The Comedy Lineup hit Netflix in July, fans were immediately drawn to the series. Why watch an hour-long comedy special when you can watch eight 15-minute sets from different comedians? For viewers who find themselves reaching for their phones 30 minutes into a stand-up special, The Comedy Lineup provides a much-needed change of pace. Of course, comedians can only do so much in a 15-minute set, but if you’re looking for a low-commitment laugh, this Netflix series is the show for you.

The Comedy Lineup Part 2 features short segments from a variety of different comedians, including frequent QI panelist Aisling Bea, Night Train with Wyatt Cenac’s Emma Willmann, and Max Silvestri, John Mulaney’s opening act. Judging by the trailer, Part 2 will focus heavily on jokes about dating, sex, and the existential weight of being a human in 2018. There are a bunch of great jokes in the trailer, but our favorite is an American Vandal-esque number about dicks. “I’m working on a safe sex advice column for Christian teenagers,” says JR De Guzman. “Yeah, it’s called ‘Just the Tips.’” Zinger!

The trailer introduces viewers to each act by asking them when they first fell in love with comedy.  “That’s a tough one, to say love,” says Willmann. Others weren’t as shy about when they realized their love for comedy. “When I was in school and it would get me out of being bullied,” says Bea. “When I saw my first special,” says Josh Johnson. These comics are about to make a huge splash, so be sure to check them out when The Comedy Lineup Part 2 hits Netflix at the end of the month.
