‘Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous’ Host Robin Leach Dead At 76

Robin Leach, best known for hosting reality series Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, has died at the age of 76. Leach had been hospitalized since November 2017 after suffering a stroke in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. From 1984 to 1985, Leach gave viewers an inside look into the lives of America’s wealthiest citizens on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, and he traveled around the globe to film and promote the beloved series. In the years since, Leach put his vast knowledge to good use, and in in 2016, he began working at the Las Vegas Review-Journal as an entertainment and celebrity coverage.

Sad to report the death of famed celeb reporter, friend and colleague #RobinLeach @1:50 a.m. in #LasVegas,” Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes wrote on Twitter Friday morning. “He would have been 77 Wednesday. He suffered a second stroke Monday. He in hospice care. He’d been hospitalized since Nov. 21, after suffering a stroke in Cabo San Lucas.”

“Despite the past 10 months, what a beautiful life he had. Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and friend Robin Leach passed away peacefully last night at 1:50 a.m.,” said his family in a statement. “Everyone’s support and love over the past, almost one year, has been incredible and we are so grateful. Memorial arrangements to follow.”
