We’ve been hearing the upcoming Below Deck Mediterranean reunion gets pretty crazy, and now we’re seeing it with our very own eyes. Jamie and Kasey tried to warn us that it was a “shitshow” and even sweet Colin told us, “It was intense, it really was. Some people got attacked.” And now we have our first clue about one of those people.
In this exclusive clip from the episode airing Tuesday, September 11 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo, a question about if Captain Sandy was intentionally harder on the crew this year somehow ended up with her telling bosun Conrad Empson that he “will probably never make it” in the yachting industry. Ouch!
“Conrad just didn’t do his job,” Sandy says to the group. “Every time I looked up, he was like a little puppy behind Hannah.”
She goes on to criticize him for taking his cigarette breaks, and he attempted to defend himself by saying, “I could take breaks when the guests weren’t doing anything,” but she was having none of that.
“No you can’t, Conrad. That’s your mistake, is you actually think that you can call the shots. And as a 23-year-old bosun that’s come from a private boat to a charter boat, you’ve got a lot to learn. And you start with listening to authority and checking in with the captain to find out what’s next.”
Before he could even get a word in, Sandy continued, “You don’t decide to go smoke on the bow when you decide you want a cigarette on a super yacht in the middle of the Med. It doesn’t happen. And that’s why you will probably never make it.”
Earlier in the season, Conrad told us he was feeling a little bit nervous about the reunion, and it seems as though his instincts were right about that one.
