Anna Paquin
Who They Were on True Blood:Sookie Stackhouse, a sweet telepathic waitress at Merlotte's. She meets and falls fast for an enigmatic vampire named Bill Compton. It is revealed that she has fairy blood.
Where They Are Now: Anna Paquin is an Academy Award-winning actress who has continued to work in film and TV since True Blood went off the air. Most recently, she appeared on Netflix's Alias Grace, Amazon's Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams, and will appear in Netflix's upcoming movie The Irishman. In real life, Paquin is married to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer.

Where They Are Now: Moyer has appeared in a number of productions since True Blood, but most recently he's found success as Reed Strucker on Fox's The Gifted. It's a live-action show inspired by the X-Men comics and is returning this fall for a second season.

Who They Were on True Blood:Sam Merlotte, the kind and unassuming owner of Merlotte's who is secretly a shifter (aka he can transform into animals, usually a dog). He is loyal and kind of sprung on Sookie.
Where They Are Now: Trammell hasn't appeared in a bunch of high-profile stuff since True Blood, but you may remember him as Shailene Woodley's father in The Fault In Our Stars. Recently, he's also appeared in This Is Us and is due to co-star in next year's Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase.

Where They Are Now: Alexander Skarsgard arguably has found the biggest success post-True Blood. The actor has starred in a number of films, including The Legend of Tarzan, but his biggest triumph was playing Perry in the celebrated first season of Big Little Lies. He'll soon appear on AMC's The Little Drummer Girl.

Where They Are Now: Woll is now one of the most stalwart supporting players in the Netflix Marvel universe. She's Karen Page in both the Daredevil series and the Punisher spin-off show. She'll reprise the role again in the third season of Marvel's Daredevil, due out later this year.
