American Horror Story: Apocalypse

Powered by Reelgood

Temperatures are dropping and the NFL is back, which means that the cozy comforts of autumn are just around the corner. Along with the leaves changing and seemingly ubiquitous presence of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the beginning of the fall season is marked by a welcomed deluge of new and returning TV shows. By my count, one billion shows (more or less) will be returning or premiering in the next month. Decider’s here to highlight a few of our favorites for this week.

If you’ve been bewitched by FX’s popular anthology series American Horror Story, you’ll be happy to know that Season 8 premieres this week. If comedy is more your jam, both American Vandal and BoJack Horseman return with all-new seasons on Friday.

The avalanche of new and returning shows is just beginning. How much time do you need to carve out to enjoy these small-screen favorites? Here are all the important shows premiering and returning this week.

10:00 ET: American Horror Story: Apocalypse (Season 8)

The apocalypse is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, so, you know, plan the rest of your life accordingly.

FX’s immensely addictive American Horror Story returns this week… with a twist. Season 8 marks AHS’s first official crossover season. Set at the end of the world, the forthcoming season combines the characters and stories from Season 1’s Murder House and Season 3’s Coven. If you need a refresher on Murder House and Coven, Decider is continually updating our “American Horror Story Apocalypse: Everything We Know” article.

Word on the street is that Season 5 of BoJack is not to be missed. As our own Clair Spellberg reports, the new season finds our favorite horse embarking on a new job, but his new career success doesn’t lift much of the existential dread off his shoulders. Shocker, right? One of the most popular animated comedies is finally back.
