Is Lifetime’s ‘You’ On Netflix?

Lifetime’s You is an addictive and bonkers new thriller from superstar producing team Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti. The series imagines Gossip Girl‘s Penn Badgley as an obsessive bookseller named Joe who will stop at nothing to win over the object of his affection, Beck (Elizabeth Lail). The show is steamy, creepy, and a perfect primetime soap. But if you’re looking to binge it on Netflix, you may be out of luck… That is, depending on where in the world you want to stream it.

So where can you stream You? Is it going to be on Netflix? Can you catch it for free?

Is Lifetime’s You on Netflix?

That is a surprisingly tricky question. Lifetime’s You is not currently streaming on Netflix in the United States. See, Netflix has what’s known as first-run international SVOD rights for You outside of the United States (excluding China), with second-run window in the United States, Turkey and Turkish-speaking Cyprus. That means that everyone outside the U.S. and China with a Netflix account will be able to stream the show on the service.

Eventually, Lifetime’s new series will hit American Netflix accounts, but we don’t have a date on that yet.

Where Can I Stream Lifetime’s You?

If you missed the premiere of You on Lifetime last night – or if you caught it and just want to obsessively watch it again, like a certain bookseller might – you’re in luck. You can stream You on the Lifetime app or at MyLifetime.com. Right now you don’t need a cable log-in to watch the pilot, so get on it!
