‘Outlander’ Season 4 Trailer Teases Action, Outlaws, and One Steamy Bathtub Scene

Outlander Season 4 is almost here! The most romantic show on television is set to return to Starz on November 4, and today the network released a brand new official Outlander Season 4 trailer. We’ve gotten a few earlier sneak peeks of what life will be like for Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) once they land in the New World, but this latest trailer teases that they will once more find themselves on the wrong side of history in the name of doing the wrong thing.

When we last saw Claire and Jamie, they were shipwrecked in 1760s Georgia. They were alive, but far from home — and their 1960s-based daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton). Season 4 will take Claire and Jamie to his Aunt Jocasta’s North Carolina plantation where Claire will butt heads with the matriarch over the issue of slavery. Eventually Claire and Jamie will make a life for themselves off the grid, but the new trailer suggests that this move will only get them embroiled in a fight to determine the moral future of America.

Elsewhere, in the 1960s, Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) has stumbled upon some new documentation that proves Claire and Jamie are alive. It looks like Brianna will attempt to travel through the stones to see her parents again — and what’s that? — the voice of Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) might even guide her??

Season 4 of Outlander is based on the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, Drums of Autumn. Starz has already renewed Outlander for two additional seasons.
