NFL RedZone Is Now Available As a Standalone Streaming Service

Now that football season is in full swing, you’re probably wondering how to live stream NFL games. Well, cord cutters, that just got easier. NFL RedZone has finally become its own streaming service, and you can get it for the low, low price of just $5 per month. That’s right: you can now watch every NFL touchdown (and every Cleveland Browns’ Pick 6) on your smartphone, so you’ll never miss a single second of Sunday action.

In the past, only Verizon Wireless customers were available to stream NFL RedZone on their phones, and they had to pay an additional $2 per month of the service. Now, however, the streaming service is available to all fans looking to maintain the lead in their fantasy pool. To buy into the standalone package, select RedZone in the Settings tab and click the “purchase” option. That’s it!

Seems simple enough, right? But wait, there’s a catch: you can only watch the standalone RedZone package on your smartphone. If you love to watch on the go — if, say, you’re coming back from a Seattle Seahawks game but want to see Deshaun Watson hit DeAndre Hopkins for the touchdown in Houston — this shouldn’t be a problem. But if you prefer to watch RedZone on a tablet or smart TV, the $5 per month package will leave you a little disappointed. There’s no way to transfer your phone’s display to a TV with Chromecast or AirPlay, so if you’re interested in watching on a larger screen, you’ll have to rely on services like SlingTV, PlayStation Vue, or FuboTV for your NFL RedZone needs.
