Not every saga involves aliens or superheroes or wizards. Some just so happen to star badass ladies who love breaking it down on the stage–and some of those sagas are the Pitch Perfect saga. And now thanks to HBO, you can stream the third installment in the biggest musical-comedy franchise ever!
Pitch Perfect 3 reunites the gang from Pitch Perfect (2012) and Pitch Perfect 2 (2015–isn’t it refreshing to have a franchise that just adds a number every time instead of coming up with increasingly complex subtitles?!). This time, the graduated girls of the Barden Bellas are coming together one last time for a USO tour overseas. At least that’s what they think! In Pitch Perfect style, everything rides on our favorite a capella group winning a competition.
Franchise leads Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and Brittany Snow are back, as is Elizabeth Banks as a capella color commentator Gail Abernathy-McKadden-Feinberger. Joining in on the a capella action this time are John Lithgow as Fat Amy’s bad dad and Ruby Rose as one of the members of the cringingly named band Evermoist.
Comedies are hard to build franchises on, but Pitch Perfect fever has yet to die down. The third film grossed $184 million worldwide, proving that there’s still a lotta pep in the Bellas’ steps. If you missed the film back when it dropped last holiday season, then HBO is giving you another chance to enjoy all the international a capella action.
