When Is ‘Ingobernable’ Season 3 Coming Out?

Ingobernable might very well be Netflix’s steamiest international drama. The scintillating series stars Kate del Castillo as the indefatigable Emilia Urquiza. When we meet Emilia in Season 1, she is the glamorous First Lady of Mexico. When her handsome husband is murdered, Emilia gets blamed with the assassination.

Ingobernable Season 2 starts with Emilia falling into the clutches of her enemies. As the military takes her prisoner, they subject her to some truly awful torture techniques (that are also upsettingly sexy?). As Season 2 forges on, Emilia teams up with some hackers and finds herself at the forefront of a political revolution. But will the saga continue? Here’s what we know so far…

Will There Be An Ingobernable Season 3?

Since Ingobernable Season 2 just dropped last Friday, it’s still a bit too soon for Netflix to make any major call on renewing the series for a third season. The streaming service usually makes these announcements about a month after a new season premieres.

However, star Kate del Castillo has hinted that she would be game for more Ingobernable. Remezcla reported that del Castillo said, “I want to see [Emilia] as President! I want to see her go there, with her brains and with her hard work, with her integrity. We’ll see. I have no idea where it’s going, if there’s a third season. But I hope there is and I hope she gets to be President. Hell yeah, why not?”

When Would Ingobernable Season 3 Premiere?

The first season of Ingobernable premiered in March 2017, and Season 2 premiered about 18 months after that in September 2018. Given that timetable, we would presume that a third season would take approximately another 18 months to produce. If we had to make a guess, we would say that Ingobernable would return in spring 2020.
