National Geographic Announces Tense New Special ‘United States Secret Service: On The Front Line’ [Exclusive]

National Geographic announced today they have been granted exclusive access to one of the Secret Service for an upcoming special called United States Secret Service: On The Front Line. The two-hour special event is set to premiere on Sunday, October 14 and will offer viewers unique insight into how the Secret Service works to protect the life of the President of the United States.

The Secret Service granted National Geographic access to four separate Secret Service missions over the course of the last year. The trailer teases that one of these missions was the President’s tense overseas visit to Manila last November. During that trip, a number of local protests erupted. United States Secret Service: On The Front Line will show how various teams, including the Dignitary Protection Division, Special Ops, and the Protective Intelligence Division, worked in concord to protect the President from possible threats, including a credible one from ISIS.

According to Anthony Ornato, Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division, the Secret Service has a tremendous impact on the day-to-day life of the President. “We probably restrict President Trump more than he wants to be restricted,” Ornato said in the press release. “And it’s difficult for the President to live in a bubble.”

United States Secret Service: On The Front Line will premiere on National Geographic on Sunday, October 14 at 9/8C.
