Every show has a couple of crazy sex scenes up its sleeve, but American Horror Story has never been like any other show. Over the FX series’ eight seasons its featured blood orgies, multiple gimp suits, cults driven by group hookups, deaths by penises and vaginas, and some of the most surprising and sympathetic sex workers ever brought to screen. Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck’s horror anthology series prides itself on being a lot, and that mentality especially applies when things get sexy.

From its first season, AHS has never been afraid of using sex in a controversial way. The main plot of Murder House revolved around the pregnant VIvien (Connie Britton) having sex with a man in a gimp suit she thought was her husband. He wasn’t. Instead, he was her daughter’s school shooter ghost boyfriend, Tate (Evan Peters). That’s the disturbing way American Horror Story started, and it’s only gotten more insane from there.
