‘Drag Race’ Superstar Alyssa Edwards Reacts to Her ‘Jeopardy’ Shout Out

On Tuesday night’s Jeopardy, a triple-stumper of a Final Jeopardy question led to the winning contestant not only surviving the match but delivering a shout-out to RuPaul’s Drag Race all-star — and star of Netflix’s upcoming Dancing Queen — Alyssa Edwards.

Faced with the category of Oscar Hyphenates and unable to come up with the correct answer to “This actor has never been nominated for acting — he won, though, as a writer for 1997 & as producer for 2012” (the answer is Ben Affleck. BEN AFFLECK!!), defending champion Doug Dodson was going to win anyway, but his joke answer gave him a different kind of victory. A drag victory.

“What is back rolls?” didn’t mean much to confused host Alex Trebek, but Doug knew exactly who would get the joke. That would be any fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Alyssa Edwards’ iconic season 5 moment.

Decider got the chance to talk to the drag superstar about this moment, and got her reaction to the video, and it’s safe to say Alyssa is taking to her newfound Jeopardy fame quite well.

We have a feeling Doug’s prediction to Alex that his moment will go viral is going to come true.

Dancing Queen debuts on Netflix this Friday, October 5th.
